88 - Jermaine Jones lashes a shot high and wide of Galatasaray's goal. Very few chances at the Turk Telekom Arena.

79 - Julian Draxler comes close from the edge of the box after a gut-bursting run on a terrible surface. He drags his shot wide of Muslera's far-post.

74 - Jens Keller has introduced some fresh legs in Teemu Pukki who replaces ineffective striker Huntelaar. It has been a relatively quiet second half with Schalke's industry keeping them in this match.

64 - Sloppy play from Schalke was punished by Didier Drogba who passed to Yilmaz - but the striker has strayed into an offside position.

54 - Strong block from Sabri to deny Farfan from doubling Schalke's lead after a fluid counter-attack down the right-hand side. The wide-areas are certainly fruitful for the Royal Blues.

47: Scottish referee Willie Collum hands out his third booking of the evening to substitute Nordin Amrabat for a rough tackle on Jefferson Farfan.

HT: Statistics suggest Schalke 04 have been the better of the two in the first period. The Royal Blues have 55% of the ball possession, to Galatasaray's 45%. Both sides have had four shots on goal - with the Turkish side also hitting the woodwork.

22 - Both sides playing at a frantic tempo in the midfield of the pitch. Little space for either team to exploit. The Royal Blues looking slow at the back and Yilmaz's movement is causing probelms in the centre.

12 - GOAL! Galatasaray are ahead after 12 minutes. Burak Yilmaz slamming the ball high into the net after Schalke failed the clear the danger on the edge of their 18-yard-box. A horrible start for the Bundesliga side.

1 - Schalke start purposefully in the Turk Telekom Arena with Michel Bastos' cross-come-shot forcing Muslera into an early save. Jefferson Farfan did his best to get the ball across goal - but it is eventually cleared by the Turks.
