If the home kits that have been leaked online are in fact the new digs for the US Men's National Team, our boys will be dressed to impress in the hexagonal round of World Cup qualifying.

While the photos originally were released at Todo Sobre Camisetas, the folks at MLS Talk have more information:

Photos of the new US men's national team (USMNT) home shirt for 2013 have been leaked on the Internet.

The centenary shirt, to mark 100 years of US soccer, features the new centenary crest on the front of the shirt as the main focal point. The rest of the shirt features the navy blue trim, v-neck collar and Nike swoosh.

Check them out for yourselves.

These are really, really sharp kits. They're sleek and simple yet very modern. I like the using white as the base color, and the blue trim on the neck and sleeves makes the jersey pop. And the Stars and Stripes shield is awesome, which you can see in more detail here:

I really, really hope that remains as the U.S. crest. It's much sharper than crests of the past.

If this ends up being the official kit, it will be by far my favorite jersey the USMNT has ever donned. It's far better than the Where's Waldo prison uniform the team often wears. Those are certainly distinctive and perfectly fine in moderation, but I wouldn't exactly describe them as fashionable.

But these alleged new kits certainly are. One of the trends, especially in the states, is a return to a more simple, elegant and clean look in sports uniforms. Look no further than the Oklahoma City Thunder or Brooklyn Nets as examples of that trend.

It's a refreshing trend, and nice to see the national soccer team embracing it. If, in fact, these are the centennial kits.

Here's hoping.
