Lindsey Vonn Makes Statement Amid Tiger Woods Dating Rumors

Rumors that Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn are dating have heated to such a degree that the famed Alpine skier was forced to make a statement. 

Not that she said all that much. 

USA Today printed a statement given by Vonn's publicist aimed at the growing rumors her client is in a relationship with the star golfer. 

"

Lindsey is currently in the midst of the World Cup season in Europe," the statement read. "Her focus is solely on competing and on defending her titles and thus she will not participate in any speculation surrounding her personal life at this time.

"

Woods, through a spokesman, declined to comment on any report. 

And so continues the great mystery of "are they?" or "aren't they?"

Last week, there was a report from Sports Illustrated's Golf.com issuing that Woods stopped over in Austria to see Vonn. 

Then, on Thursday, the New York Daily News ran a report citing Star Magazine issuing that Woods not only visited Vonn in Austria, but took her on a vacation to Antigua. 

That would definitely be outside the realm of friend zone.

Woods recently paid a visit to Austria, where Vonn was racing, and treated her to a romantic trip to Antigua, according to reports.

She married fellow skier Thomas Vonn in 2007 and they finalized their divorce this month.

On the basis of that report alone, the rumors seem to be just that—a bunch of sexy scuttlebutt with no actual basis in reality. 

With this statement, there may be yet another log for the fire. 

A statement that goes a long way to state little is saying quite a lot, or so my confused brain tells me. Neither Woods nor Vonn are answering the big question. 

And so the silence and non-answering will only, as you can guess, breathe far more life into the rumors the two are indeed hooking up.
