Well folks, it appears the WWE Hall of Fame may be inducting the most infamous faction in the company's history.

According to WrestleZone.com:

WZ has learned from sources to expect DX to be inducted and for WWE to recognize Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Sean Waltman, Billy Gunn and Road Dogg at the ceremony.

We're told the DX group is expected to headline the 2013 class.

This is huge news for not only the group, but more notably Shawn Michaels, as it will mark his second induction into the hallowed hall. Ultimately, this induction will put Michaels in some elite company, as Ric Flair is currently the only wrestler to be inducted into the hall twice.

I am not entirely surprised by this decision. It seems that the company has been struggling to find that attention-getter nomination for this year's ceremony. In fact, for months now, the company has been rumored to be courting WWE's biggest legend, Bruno Sammartino (via wrestlinginc.com), in an attempt to finally enshrine him into their Hall of Fame.

Sadly, to date, their efforts have come to no avail, as Sammartino has held some animosity toward the WWE for a number of years now. So, it would seem that this attempt will once again probably fall short.

Overall, this is not a terrible decision, as DX's over-the-top antics helped the WWE overcome their ratings slump in the late '90s. Unfortunately, it appears that the group's only female member (Chyna) will be getting snubbed from this honor.

Keep in mind, you can't entirely blame the WWE for this move. Especially considering her latest venture into the porn industry, making it almost impossible to induct her into their "elite" Hall of Fame. Don't get me wrong—I am not saying she isn't worthy, just saying it will be hard to for the WWE to explain having a XXX star at a PG event.

In the end, it's good to see that the WWE will be mostly recognizing the group as a whole and not just the Shawn Michaels-Triple H era, as both versions played an integral part in the company's success.
