Hong Kong Open 2012: Tee Times, Date and TV Schedule
On my list of things to do in life, play golf at a beautiful, world-class course, visit Hong Kong and get paid to do something I love are all pretty high up.
So you can imagine the slight jealousy I feel toward the participants of this weekend's Hong Kong Open.
The course at Fanling and the Hong Kong Golf Club in general are gorgeous, classic grounds, making it one of the finest late-season stops on the European Tour.

Add in a slew of excellent golfers, and you've got yourself a fine tournament.
But you need some information, and you've come to the right place. Below, you'll find tee times, the television schedule and a whole lot more.

Thursday, Round 1: 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Golf Channel

What They're Saying
Rory McIlroy is looking to be the first back-to-back winner of the Hong Kong Open in 48 years. As you might imagine, that has been one of the main storylines heading into the event.
From the Associated Press (via FOX News):
"Only Taiwan's Hsieh Yung-yo has won the event two years in a row, in 1963-64.
"It's here also that I have had some great experiences as a player, taking part in one of the best playoffs ever against Lin Wen-tang in 2009," McIlroy said. "Then I was able to finally put my name on the Hong Kong Open trophy last year."
McIlroy will face 19-year-old Matteo Manassero, the new Singapore Open winner, who will play the opening two rounds with McIlroy.

Golfer to Watch: Rory McIlroy
Duh.
At pretty much any tournament that doesn't include Tiger Woods, McIlroy has been the man to watch this year. He has four titles, including the PGA Championship, and he has 15 top-10 finishes and 12 top-five results.
He has solidified his title as "World's Top Golfer."
In a word, he has been "awesome" in 2012. And despite a huge field of golfers, you know the majority of the attention in this tournament will be given to McIlroy.
