WWE News: JTG Goes on Twitter Tirade About Current Locker Room Politics
Well here we go again, another former WWE star sounding off about his former employer.
But wait a second, JTG is not a former WWE star—in fact, he is still employed by the biggest wrestling company in the world.
So why should he be so angry? Well it turns out, old school wrestling politics may be rearing its ugly head.
The tirade all started with this tweet:
Be the change you wish to see in the world. #Iwantchange— JTG (@Jtg1284) August 5, 2012
Since then, JTG has been giving his current employers the business and he doesn't seem to care who sees it.
"Make decisions based on your worth, not your circumstance!" I wish some one told me this 2 years ago.— JTG (@Jtg1284) August 6, 2012
As a pro athlete,Im tired of me and my lockerroom brothers being taken advantage of . Fans have no idea what we go through.#itsanillusion— JTG (@Jtg1284) August 7, 2012
Yea I said it— JTG (@Jtg1284) August 7, 2012
Nobody wants to speak up, everybodys afraid of losing their job or getting taken off TV— JTG (@Jtg1284) August 7, 2012
Ultimately, at this point he really has nothing to lose. The former tag champ went from being highlighted on both Raw and SmackDown to now being sparingly used on Superstars and NXT. In fact, the last time he was on Raw, he took a beating from Brodus Clay.
Let's face it, the wrestling business is very fickle. One minute you can be on top of the world, and the next you're fighting for the TV time you once owned.
In the end, JTG probably should have parted ways with the WWE several years ago. It appears that he feels he hasn't been used to his ability since he and Cryme Tyme partner Shad split in 2010. I think we all can relate here, as I know I have had several jobs that I felt underutilized with more to give.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think he handled this properly.
Especially considering he could have probably just asked for, and been granted a release, in no time. Ultimately, this could also be a work. However, I am doubtful of that considering his current circumstances.
I guess we shall see what the wrestling world and the WWE have in store for JTG in the weeks to come.
