Hope and redemption.

Those are the watchwords for American hurdler Lolo Jones as she enters the 100-meter hurdles at the London 2012 Olympics, likely her final opportunity to win a gold medal on the sporting world's grandest stage.

At the age of 29, Lolo's successful track and field career is likely in its twilight, although the Olympic gold has remained elusive.

At the 2008 Beijing Games, Jones led the race with 20 meters to go, but clipped her foot on the ninth hurdle and finished an excruciating fourth.

So, the pressure is on Jones to redeem that lost opportunity and win the race she so desperately wants to capture.

Can she? Bleacher Report Contributor Ryan O'Leary is here with the preview.
