A very close fight that in no way, shape or form McMann won all three rounds. Rounds one and three were very close with the only clear round going to Baszler. This was the fight of the night and hopefully there will be a rematch down the round. This was a fantastic fight for the continued development of McMann and a good fight to put Baszler back in the eye of the 135-pound division. Akano, like many other Japanese fighters, is too small when they make the trek to North America. Weight cutting needs to make its weight to Asia for their stars to make an impact long-term in a division. Akano has the technique, but is always outmatched physically and that has been showcased in her last two outings. Davis on the other hand looked great and had the performance she needed. She defeats a legend of women's MMA with ease and takes minimal damage. It is possible we see her go for Invicta gold in October.

Hamasaki controlled the fight from the out set. Schuckman didn't offer much except defense as Hamasaki worked her game for nearly 15 minutes before securing the armbar. This will give Schuckman a good idea of what she needs to work on in her young career, and it was a good showcase for the JEWELS champion.
