Report: Manchester United's £30 Million Bid for Lucas Moura Rejected
It is no secret that Manchester United are currently chasing the signature of one of Brazil's finest young prodigies, Lucas Moura.
But Brazilian publication Globo Esporte reports that a bid of £30 million has been rejected by the player's club Sao Paulo, despite United meeting the initial asking price (h/t ESPNSoccernet).
A delegation headed by chief scout Jim Lawler had been in the country to negotiate the transfer before the start of the Olympic Games, Sir Alex keen to rejuvenate his team's attack, but it seems the trip may end fruitless.

This is also despite the fact that the player would be receptive to a big move to Europe this summer.
As well as appearing 15 times for his national side, the 19-year-old Lucas has played in more than 100 games for Sao Paulo, scoring an impressive 26 times.
He scored his first international goal in an exhibition match against Argentina in September of last year.
United have already completed deals to bring Japanese attacking midfielder Shinji Kagawa and 18-year-old Nick Powell for around £20 million, and it was believed Sir Alex's spending wasn't yet done.
Indeed, United's manager only this month confirmed that this was the case in a high-profile press conference.
Many fans have been left scratching their heads by the club's seeming refusal to acknowledge that their biggest weakness lies in their lack of talent in defensive midfield.
However, for those who have seen Lucas play, few could resist their excitement at the club pursuing such a talented young player.
It now remains to be seen whether United will increase their bid in an attempt to land their top target.
