While the jersey is simply an alternate, it's a breath of fresh air for the organization and a smart move as well. Black jerseys always go over well with consumers, so this could be an obvious boost in popularity for the team.

The change comes at a time when the Jaguars are struggling to sell tickets. As Nike implements new changes to every team's NFL jersey over the next few years, the Jaguars seem to be ahead of schedule. The sleek new look is certainly more appealing to the eye than the ugly new Seattle Seahawks' jerseys.
A new-look is nice for the organization, but that does not have an effect on the quality of the team performance-wise. If the team continues to falter, the excitement over the new jerseys will be a moot point.
Black jerseys for the Jaguars are great for the fans. Winning is too. With a stroke of luck, jerseys will not be the only thing positively changing for the Jaguars in 2012.
