Skateboard Accident Video: Watch Serge Murphy Go Up Against a Truck and Lose

Skateboarder Serge Murphy defied all logic and managed to fly through the air.

Only it came after he was hit by truck. 

The YouTube description of this video tells us that Murphy was sent 50 feet through the air, or roughly two house-lengths. 

I am not sure this is at all scientific because those that would have been measuring were busy picking up Murphy's shoes and ego off the pavement. 

The important thing to note is that Murphy, according to the description, is alive. Consider that a miracle considering how he gets tattered and sent flying like a rag doll. 

Here is how the discussion of making this video should have gone:

Serge Murphy: Let's make a sick video of me taking the streets with clean lines. 

Cameraman: You think we should get more people in on this?

SM: Nah.

CM: What if there is an oncoming truck?

"

An impromptu Superman pose may have been averted if they had some people on the lookout for those crazy vehicles that seem to be quite ubiquitous on those zany streets. 

The NY Daily News has a bit more information on the Massachusetts skater. They state he was performing the feat in an alley somewhere in Lowell and that he went half a block through the air. 

I am not about to argue how far he went because after getting slammed into by a truck, the measurements lose all meaning.
