Power Ranking the Best Backfields in the NFC South
When you think about running backs in the NFC South, the first name that should pop into your head is Atlanta Falcons running back Michael Turner. Not only did Turner finish the 2011 season with 1,340 yards, but he led the NFC, finished third in the NFL and posted his third 1,000-yard or more rushing season in the last four years.
However, if you’re looking for the best backfield in the NFC South, Atlanta’s not top dog.
Both New Orleans, because of its depth, and Carolina, because of its potent attack, are better complete backfields than Atlanta.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Saints can hand the ball to Darren Sproles, Pierre Thomas or Mark Ingram and feel safe with the ball in their hands.
Carolina had three ball carriers—yes, quarterback Cam Newton is included here—rush for more than 700 yards, and no team in the league scored more rushing touchdowns.
Therefore, in an NFC South Backfield Power Rankings situation, Carolina and New Orleans are No. 1 and No. 2, respectively.
Atlanta comes in at No. 3.
Tampa Bay has potential, and could quite possibly jump up as high as No. 2, because of the addition of Doug Martin. But I want to see how LeGarrette Blount and Martin work together before I move them out of the No. 4 spot.
