Big Ten Football: Tweets of the Week
Every Friday on the Big Ten Blog, we'll bring you the best Big Ten-related Tweets of the week.
Look: I know this is Ohio State forward/center Jared Sullinger having a little fun and this would never happen, for so so many reasons. That said, I cannot overstate how okay I would be with Jared Sullinger or some other famous but unsuspecting athlete in a different sport getting drafted by the NFL completely out of nowhere.
Michigan QB commit Shane Morris is done with recruiting. How sure is he of his commitment? He found out Alabama was in the building to test the waters, and he basically stuck them with a Heisman pose to the face:
So, yeah. Done with recruiting. Very done.
For as much fun as Twitter can be, for athletes, it's also one more way to ruin everything without even trying. Case in point: this series of ominous tweets from @BoilerBylaws, which monitors NCAA compliance at Purdue.
Purdue hasn't self-reported any violations at this point, so it's entirely reasonable to assume these were just precautionary. But still, always nice to get a reminder that screwing up under NCAA guidelines is ridiculously easy.
Oh, on that note...
I don't think this counts as an endorsement by MSU linebacker/hellbeast Denicos Allen, just FYI. Also, you should never eat at Taco Bell (they're not sponsors here, are they? If they are, MMMMM, Taco Bell!).
And lastly, this has been making the rounds. It's an NFL deal, sure, but did you notice what I did?
Yep, no Big Ten quarterbacks. You know, if Cleveland had drafted Tom Brady back in 2000 as an insurance policy for Couch, this list would be... oh, who are we kidding, Tom Brady would have been terrible in Cleveland just like everybody else.
