Beth Phoenix: Injury Angle Is Perfect Setup for Kharma's WWE Return

Beth Phoenix may or may not be injured for real, it all depends on what you choose to believe. But no matter what the reason for WWE running with this ankle injury, it is a perfect setup for the return of the most dominant female wrestler in the world today: Kharma. 

According to WrestlingObserver.com, there was a plan in place several weeks ago to get the divas title on Nikki Bella to bring Kharma back and make her the champion so that she doesn't have to beat Phoenix to do it.

Nikki Bella's win tonight over Beth Phoenix on WWE RAW was scheduled to happen for several weeks.

The ankle injury to Phoenix was storyline as a way to get the title off Phoenix so Kharma can get the title without ever beating her...or at least that was the plan when Bella was originally planned to get the title.

It is not often that WWE actually does right by the divas division, but this is a genius move that could potentially set up one of the biggest women's matches in recent WWE history. 

If the storyline plays out the way that it was reported, Kharma will likely show up at Extreme Rules or Raw next week and take the title from Nikki Bella. 

Kharma would then be able to take out all of the women in WWE for the next couple of months, then Phoenix is brought back to challenge for the title. She has the easy claim to a shot because she lost the title, was injured and never had an opportunity to get a rematch. 

Perhaps I am giving WWE too much credit for planning ahead. This could be a way to try and convince the Bella Twins, or at least Nikki, to re-sign with the company instead of leaving when their contracts expire April 30. 

Considering how little anyone actually cares about the Bellas, it is hard to imagine WWE building anything around them. 

Kharma is the big drawing card that WWE has in the women's division, if and when she is ready to return. This storyline would allow her to pick up right where she left off nearly one year ago. 

You have a simple story that could work wonders for Kharma, Phoenix and the women's division, culminating in a match that actually has interest at SummerSlam in August.
