WWE News: Rumored Trio of Main Events for WrestleMania 29 Revealed
Although WrestleMania 28 just took place, wrestling fans and those within the WWE already have their sights set on WrestleMania 29.
Despite the fact that next year’s huge pay-per-view is roughly a year away, the WWE seems to have already started laying the foundation for that show by bringing back Brock Lesnar.
The widespread expectation is that Lesnar will have some sort of major match at WrestleMania 29, as will most of the WWE’s other top superstars.

And guess what? The WWE apparently already has some very early plans in place for the three main events at WrestleMania 29.
"While things certainly can (and likely will) change in the next year, the current lineup for next year’s WrestleMania is looking like Brock Lesnar vs. The Rock for the WWE Championship, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin vs. CM Punk and The Undertaker vs. Jonh Cena.
Regarding the Undertaker vs. Cena match, WWE.com has a video up with several superstars talking about the Hell in a Cell match from WrestleMania 28 and how it was truly the “end of an era.” Cena said this about the Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak:
“I know he holds the streak near and dear but I don’t see any reason for him to try for 21st. After seeing the last four matches he’s had at WrestleMania, I am certainly not involved with throwing my name in that hat.”
"
Wow.
WrestleMania 28 had one of the best trio of main events in company history (if not the best). However, if these three rumored matches actually happen, WrestleMania 29 might even top it.
Lesnar vs. The Rock, “Stone Cold” vs. CM Punk and The Undertaker vs. John Cena are all huge dream matches that would have a ton of appeal to wrestling fans across the world.
We haven’t seen The Rock take on Lesnar since their epic match at SummerSlam in 2002, Undertaker and Cena haven’t feuded since around 2003 and Austin vs. Punk is something that has been talked about ever since Punk cut that worked shoot promo last summer.
While all of these matches are indeed dream matches, it’s crazy to think that every single one of them can actually still happen.
The Rock teased that he’d be coming back for another feud down the road, that statement from Cena foreshadows a potential match with Undertaker, and Punk and Austin have been teasing a possible WrestleMania 29 match for a while now.
As if WrestleMania 28 wasn’t great enough, the WWE might outdo itself with WrestleMania 29.
What a great time to be a WWE fan.
Note: As part of the new WWE blog, I'll be asking all of the B/R wrestling readers for questions for a new mailbag that I will post on Fridays. It will be a slideshow featuring 10-20 questions and answers on a wide range of topics. You can submit questions either through Formspring or Twitter, and the best ones will be answered in the B/R mailbag.
