WWE WrestleMania 28: 5 Things That Annoyed Me About WrestleMania
While I am still debating whether this year’s WrestleMania was better than WrestleMania X-Seven, I came across a few things that annoyed me during the PPV.
Some of them you may have noticed yourself, others you may think are a bit weird, but nevertheless, they need to be pointed out.
So sit back, relax and enjoy!
Censorship
1 of 5What was it censored for?
I mean for crying out loud, if I’m paying 15 notes for a live broadcast, I don’t want someone telling me I can’t listen to what Triple H is saying because it may be too close to the bone.
Fair enough if they feel the need to edit things out of Raw and SmackDown, due to the amount of people that are likely to watch due to it being free.
However, editing out bits of sound from a PPV broadcast is unacceptable and I won’t rest until I find out what Triple H said when he did the “suck it” taunt.
18 Seconds
2 of 5Come on. 18 seconds?
Whether they wanted to break a record or not, this was the wrong way to do it in my opinion.
The WWE stuck a middle finger up at all the people who wanted to see Daniel Bryan have his moment at WrestleMania, whether he won or lost.
Now he is going to go down in history as having an extremely embarrassing Big Show-like moment.
Uncanny Resemblance to Brother Love
3 of 5Is it just me, or did John Laurinaitis look a bit like Brother Love the other night?
I really could not get that image out of my head after seeing Johnny Ace in his suit, and it annoyed me throughout his appearances.
Lack of Mat-Based Wrestling
4 of 5The Jericho/Punk match was excellent in hindsight.
They built up a fantastic match, which lead to a satisfying end and if we’re looking at the storytelling aspect of it, it was perfect.
However, I have to believe they could have mat-wrestled for a lot longer than they did.
I was expecting a lot more catch-as-catch-can than we got, and I think it was a bit of a waste to have two of the best technical wrestlers in the ring and only two minutes before CM Punk flipped his lid.
Hopefully, there will be another opportunity for this at some point.
No Tag Title Match
5 of 5Epico and Primo are the tag-team champions, yet they were relegated to the pre-show in favour of comedic skits and a mini-concert before the final match.
Epico has already voiced his opinion on this in a twitter rant, and now I’m going to voice mine.
A triple-threat tag match would have been a nice addition to the card on Sunday night, but it wasn’t to be.
I would have liked to have seen WrestleMania run a little longer and have this match included, rather than it not be included at all.
