According to wrestlingobserver.com, Matt Bloom, known in New Japan Pro Wrestling as Giant Bernard and formerly known in the WWE as Prince Albert, A-Train and Albert, has re-signed with the company.

Bloom will make his return to the company after WrestleMania XXVIII, and it's speculated that he will play the role of henchman to John Laurinaitis.

Bloom worked in the WWE from 1999 to 2004, and he had varying success as a singles and tag-team competitor.  He was best known for being half of the tag-team "T&A" with the late Andrew Martin (Test) and was managed by Trish Stratus.

Bloom did capture championship gold when he was with the company, winning the WWE Intercontinental Championship in 2001.

When Bloom was released from the WWE in 2004, he worked the independent scene in IZW (Impact Zone Wrestling).

He went overseas and worked for AJPW (All Japan Pro Wrestling) and in 2006 he moved to NJPW (New Japan Pro Wrestling) where he was a huge success.  He captured IWGP Tag-Team gold on two separate occasions.

Hopefully with his return to the WWE, he will be utilized properly and not relegated to the mid-card.  If he's booked right, he could see great things in the WWE being involved in a storyline with John Laurinaitis.

Update: According to Matt Bloom's official Twitter Account, he is denying that he has been signed by the WWE.  Bloom was quoted as saying:

It remains to be seen if Bloom is denying he's re-signed by the WWE because the deal hasn't been finalized or if he was instructed to keep it a secret until after WrestleMania.  Wrestling fans will have to wait and see what will happen.
