WGC Cadillac Championship 2012: Tee Times, Date and TV Schedule

Some of the best golfers will descend upon Doral, Fla., this week for a chance to win the WGC Cadillac Championship.

The story lines surrounding this tournament illustrate that there has never been a better time to be a golf fan. 

We have a new No. 1 player in the world in Rory McIlroy. The young Northern Irishman will hope to stave off all comers at Doral. 

There is hardly a hotter player in the world right now, and all eyes will be transfixed on this amazing talent that is no doubt the future of the sport. 

There is also the tiny subject of Tiger Woods and the fine form he showed at the Honda Classic. He finally closed out a tournament in dominating fashion. If he can string four days together like that, he is unbeatable. 

Let's take a closer look at what should be a fantastic weekend of professional golf.

Golfer to Watch

There are just too many to watch this weekend. We could tout Luke Donald, who will be hellbent on ripping back his title as No. 1 player in the world. Or, Rory McIlroy and what he presents as the next best thing in golf will be intriguing. 

We all know this is about Tiger Woods and his new found form. He closed out the Honda Classic on Sunday with a ridiculous final-round 62. 

If he is indeed back, this will be an amazing weekend for golf.

Prediction: Rory McIlroy

I have little doubt this tourney will come down to the very last hole, with a few golfers in the mix late. I also believe Tiger Woods and his new found form will be among them. 

However, I am not betting against McIlroy because the kid can flat out play. He is simply dealing right now. This is his tournament to lose.
