1 Sentence Describing Every NFL Team's Nightmare Scenario 😱
1 Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan (Man City) £15bn
2 Lakshmi Mittal and family (QPR) £12.5bn
3 Roman Abramovich (Chelsea) £7bn
4 Joe Lewis (Tottenham) £2.5bn

8 Dermot Desmond (Celtic) £1.2bn
10 Lord Ashcroft (Watford) £1.1bn
10 Malcolm Glazer and family (Man Utd) £1.1bn
Many that appear on the list are not unexpected. Thanks to the arrival of Sheikh Mansour, Manchester City are hoping to put together a dreamteam and mount a challenge to the so-called "Big Four". A good start was with Robinho although they surely should spend their money on better players than Bellamy, Parker and Upson.
QPR are currently ninth in the Coca-Cola Championship and if the disasters of all disasters happens at the Eastlands and City get relegated, then next season could see the strange sight of Britain's two richest clubs with a combined wealth of £29.4b playing in the second tier of English football.
Roman Abramovich has certainly left an impact on the English Premier League as he splashed out on a team that won two Premier League titles under Jose Mourinho. However, Mourinho departed and it now seems the lavish spending is coming to an end with Scolari being told he has to sell players if he wishes to buy. Wayne Bridge has already left for the new money-bags of the EPL, Manchester City.
The sight of Joe Lewis at number four explains quite a lot in terms of Tottenham's transfers. Who else would fork out that much for Darren Bent?
American Stan Kroenke and Uzbeki Alisher Usmanov have a combined wealth of £3.74b and are shareholders in Arsenal FC. To some extent, both parties are unwelcome at the Emirates. However, it is heavily rumoured that Stan Kroenke will further his hold on shares at the club by buying out those of the recently departed Nina Bracewell-Smith who opposed the hiring of new CEO, Ivan Gazidis.
However, just because rich people are involved with this clubs does that make them safe in this time of economic doom and gloom.
In order to address this we take a look at the work of Equifax, the online credit information provider, who has ranked Premiership Clubs from 1 to 100 on how much a club owes to the value of their assets. The lower the score the more likely a club may default on payments. Only nine clubs are classed as solvent with rest insolvent meaning that if their creditors demanded their money they would be bankrupt.

2. Manchester United 93
3. West Brom Albion 71
4. Spurs 65

This makes for interesting reading indeed with Portsmouth looking like they could be in trouble should they fail to retain their Premiership status for next season. It has been said that Portsmouth spend 90% of their club's turnover on wages which is alarming regardless of whether we are in a time of boom or bust.
The report also hints that Arsenal are moving in the right direction with their model of sustainability and may appease some fans as to the club's strict transfer policy. Perhaps Arsenal fans should give a bit of appreciation to the board and manager for keeping the club in such a healthy situation, complete with a state of the art stadium and competitive team.
However things aren't all that bad, particularly if you are a football player on inflated wages. Here are some of those on big earnings.
1 David Beckham £125m
2 Michael Owen £40m
3 Wayne Rooney £35m
4 Rio Ferdinand £28m
4 Robbie Fowler £28m
4 Sol Campbell £28m
7 Ryan Giggs £23m
8 Michael Ballack £20m
8 Frank Lampard £20m
10 Steven Gerrard £19m
In the managerial stakes, Sir Alex Ferguson has an accumulated wealth of £22million while Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has a healthy bank balance of £14million.
Nice job if you can get it eh?
