Deadline Day: Manchester United Sell Teen Prospect Ravel Morrison
It has just been announced that Manchester United's teenage playmaker Ravel Morrison has moved to West Ham in a permanent deal.
Morrison has been earmarked as a star of the future, but has made it clear in the previous months that he is not happy at Manchester United. He has been linked with a host of clubs in the last month, ranging from the likes of Newcastle to AS Roma and Barcelona, but West Ham have won the race for his signature.
Sam Allardyce said the following about Morrison:

""Perhaps a change of environment will be beneficial to him and help him make that step up to first team football quicker than perhaps would have been the case at Manchester United. There is no doubt he has exceptional talent."
"
Morrison's starting salary is said to be around £15,000 per week, however there is an opportunity for it to raise to £65,000 per week, dependent on West Ham achieving promotion and the player's league appearances.
Upon signing, Morrison said the following to West Ham's official website:
"I'm really pleased to have signed. The move has happened very quickly and I'm looking forward to hopefully moving up to the Premier League with West Ham soon. I'm an attacking player and I'm hoping to get the fans on their feet. I met with Sam Allardyce this morning and he welcomed me to the club. I also played with Robert Hall in the England team and I know him well so that will be really helpful to have someone here that I know.
"
The fee is rumoured to be around £650,000 with up to £2 million of add-ons.
