Nnamdi Asomugha: Where Will the Best Cornerback in the NFL Go?
Let's be real about this: Nnamdi Asomugha wants to win. And he has every right to.
As the best cornerback in the NFL, Asomugha has single-handedly shut down his side of the field week in and week out in Oakland. The 6'2", 210 lbs cornerback out of California has been a four-time Pro Bowl and All-Pro selection for the lowly Oakland Raiders.
Asomugha voided out of his contract in January, making him the most sought out free agent in a very long time. But where exactly will he go?

The Nnamdi Asomugha Sweepstakes appears to be down to one team: The New York Jets.
And why not?
The Jets are a contender in the AFC, and with up-and-coming quarterback Mark Sanchez, look to be a contender for quite some time. Then there's also Rex Ryan, the Jets' head coach. Not only is Ryan a guy players like to play for, but he's also somewhat of a defensive genius. The Jets' defense has ranked in the top 10 in the NFL since Ryan's tenure began back in 2009.
And let's not forget the guy called "Revis Island."
Both Revis and Asomugha got the chance to play together at the Pro Bowl, where each was able to witness the other's skills firsthand.
When asked about the opportunity to play alongside Asomugha, Revis described the opportunity as "awesome."
Surely, not as awesome as winning a Super Bowl.
The addition of Asomugha to an already elite Jets defense will instant make New York the Super Bowl favorites on paper.
With Asomugha turning 30 this July, he only has a handful of good years left to win a championship. New York gives him the best chance at a ring.
