Mock Draft. First Round Plus BROWNS Mock!
Mock drafts and all the speculation that go into, and come out of, them are fun to do. They are like filling out an NCAA Brackett, but with a worse chance of being 100% right with your pick. I do not speculate trades in my mocks because honestly they are so hard to predict, and if you're wrong about one you mess up more than just one pick. With that said here is my mock for the 2010 NFL draft, with a little luck hopefully after Thursday you will be wondering where I get my inside information!
1 Rams- Sam Bradford QB Oklahoma

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Rams are missing the most important player on a football team. With this pick they select the best QB prospect to come out in the last few years. Despite all the rumors don't expect them to trade out of this pick. (more about Bradford and the #1 pick here http://bleacherreport.com/articles/381312-will-rams-pass-on-sam-bradford-why-is-anyone-a-consensus-1-pick )
2. Lions- Ndamukong Suh DT Nebraska
The "best player" according to many, the Lions will make this pick. Some are expecting them to find a Left Tackle to protect Matt Stafford's (last year's #1 overall) blind side, but no prospect will be good enough for them to pass up on Suh.
3. Buccaneers- Gerald McCoy DT Okahoma
They may be praying the Lions take an OT so that they can snatch Suh, but they will settle for a closely rated player at the same position.
4. Redskins-Russell Okung OT Oklahoma State
Ok they have McNabb, now if they want him to be successful they need to protect him. They will take the top Tackle on their board.
Many people have them going OT, but they aren't willing to settle for the 3rd best player at that position rather than shore up their defense. Unfortunately for the Browns their main target is off the board.
6. Seahawks-Trent Williams OT Oklahoma
Well with the top 3 defensive players off the board the Seahawks will see everyone else as a reach and pull the trigger on Williams here.
7. Browns-Joe Haden CB Florida
They lost their main target when Berry came off the board, but they've been high on Haden all offseason. Even with the Sheldon Brown trade they don't pass on a potential shutdown corner.
8. Raiders- Derrick Morgan DE Georgia Tech
The Raiders are always expected to do something crazy, or go for the flashiest guy on the board. They will resist that temptation this year and pick Morgan.
9. Bills- Brian Baluga OT Iowa
A hard team to mock, they could go for Clausen, Bryant, or Spiller. With TO out of town, Marshawn Lynch having off field issues, and no set QB they still go OT. They may look to get a QB in round 2 or 3, whoever he is will be set with protection.
10. Jaguars- Earl Thomas S Texas
The question here is does Reggie Nelson scare them away from the safety position, or do they try to replace him? I'm thinking replace, Thomas is off the board here.
11. Broncos- Jimmy Clausen QB Notre Dame
An unpopular choice in mocks, but the Broncos DO happen to be in need of a franchise passer. They wont want to replace Brandon Marshall's attitude with Dez Bryant so Clausen it is. Will he be waiting for his chance behind Brady Quinn AGAIN?
12. Dolphins- Jason Pierre-Paul DE South Florida
A team that has always been proud of their defense will try to start building it up again. Who betterto start with than a guy who played college in-state?
13. 49ers- Kyle Wilson CB Boise State
Hoping for Joe Haden, they will be happy to take Wilson. Though many have them mocking Clausen here, I think they want to give Alex Smith one final chance.
14. Seahawks- CJ Spiller RB Clemson
No one between the Seahawk's two first round picks is in desperate need of a running back, so he should get this far. If he does it isn't likely he falls any further.
15. Giants- Kareem Jackson CB Alabama
They need help in the defensive backfield, they go for need here.
16. Titans- Rolando McClain LB Alabama
They see him an upgrade at LB, and as the best player available.
17. 49ers- Dan Williams DT Tenessee
They consider him at 17, but CB is the more pressing need. They will be happy to get two guys they likely have targeted with their two picks.
18. Steelers- Dez Bryant WR Oklahoma State
With the recent trade of Santonio Holmes and the age of Hines Ward they are in desperate need of a reciever. Though they are having issues with their players having "character issues" (something that's been said of Bryant) Dez is too good to pass up. Yes they ignore their O-line another year, and no they don't truly care about their players getting in trouble if they have talent.
19. Falcons- Sergio Kindle LB Texas
They went with D-line a year ago, now they want to upgrade their backers to make sure the defense gives Matt Ryan adequate rest.
20. Texans- Ryan Matthews RB Fresno State
Texans need a back, Matthews should be there waiting for them. A very common pick in mocks because it is very likely. Unforunately they didn't read my players to stay away from list ( http://bleacherreport.com/articles/378393-5-players-the-browns-should-avoid-in-the-2010-nfl-draft#page/3 )
21. Bengals Maurkice Pouncey C Florida
Offensive line may have been a letdown last year with Andre Smith, but they see value and they take it here.
22. Patriots- Brandon Graham LB Michigan
Simply the best player on the board in Bellichick's opinion. They don't really think much about this one.
23. Packers- Devin McCourty CB Rutgers
Their DBs are getting up there in age, and they didn't play well against the Cardinals in the playoffs. They will try to fix that here.
24. Eagles- Anthony Davis OT Rutgers
They've had injury problems on the O-line and last year they didn't protect McNabb well. (see Raiders sack McNabb times) They are pleasantly surprised Davis lasts this long.
25. Ravens- Demaryius Thomas WR Georgia Tech
They may have added Donte Stallworth and Anquan Boldin this offseason, but their top WR is getting ready to retire. They want to make sure and supply Joe Flacco with plenty of weapons so he wont have to transition much.
26. Cardinals- Golden Tate WR Notre Dame
With the trade of Anquan Boldin whoever will man the QB position will need a weapon other than Larry Fitgerald (though he may count as two weapons himself). They take the best WR on their board.
27. Cowboys- Charles Brown DE USC
With no OT they like left on the board they go with the best defensive player they on their board. After the Vikings game in the playoffs they see this as trying to build the same type of D-line.
28. Chargers- Jahvid Best RB California
The Ladanian Tomlinson era is over, and they need a back somehow. Best will be ideal to come in and split carries with Darren Sproles.
29. Jets- Everson Griffen DE USC
Before the trade for Santonio Holmes I had them going reciever here. While they still need a number one who can catch they don't see one here and build upon last year's top defense.
30. Vikings- Terrance Cody DT
Honestly that dominant line is getting old and talking retirement. They will look to Cody to keep the tradition going. They assume Favre is coming back so Colt McCoy isn't likely here.
31. Colts- Mike Iutapi T Idaho
The Colts O-line has holes, Peyton Manning makes them look like they aren't a big problem. He won't be able to avoid pressure every play. They will give him some protection.
32. Saints- Taylor Mays S USC
Darren Sharper is getting up there in age, and if Mays falls this far how do they pass? Answer is they don't.
Ok time for what everyone REALLY wants. Here is my CLEVELAND BROWNS MOCK!
1. Joe haden CB Florida
Eric Berry is first on the Browns wish list and first for the fans as well. Unfortuantely I don't see him lasting. Haden is good enough for the Browns here, and may push Sheldon Brown to safety.
2. Colt McCoy QB Texas
The Browns need a QB and McCoy's accuracy will be perfect for their offense. A guy who threw with over 70% accuracy for a team that will start implementing the West Coast Offens is a perfect fit and not something anyone in the front office will pass up on.
3. Jacoby Ford WR Clemson
With Tom Heckert saying the Browns need to add speed to their recieving corps Ford will be impossible to pass on. This makes the Browns WRs very young, but this will give them a chance to develop along with McCoy.
3. Mitch Petrus OG Arkansas
The middle of the draft should be a perfect spot for the Browns to find that Right Guard . Petrus tied the combine record for his number of bench press reps. Perfect for what the Browns are looking for.
3. Kurt Coleman Safety Ohio State
With not getting Berry in the first waiting this long for a safety hurts, but Coleman should be able to see considerable playing time.
5. Mike Williams WR Syracuse
Last year the Browns were big on high character guys, but in round 6 they took a risk on CB Coye Francis. They will do something similar this draft, looking to score a home run at a position of need. Williams is talented and his character issues shouldn't be as big an issue as scouts are making them out to be.
5. Tony Moeaki TE Iowa
Robert Royal is making too much money for a TE who can't catch. The Browns will look to replace him for cheap in the later rounds. Moeaki fits best into what the Browns are trying to do with this draft. He comes with an injury history but it will be better than Royal.
5. Ekom Udofia DT Stanford
Maybe a little reach here, but with Shaun Rogers already on the trading block even before his incident with the law the Browns will look for a backup for Rubin
6. Kevin Basped DE Nevada
Projected as a situational pass rusher, he will find a spot competing on the Browns D-line. If the Steelers pick Idaho's Mike Iupati Like many mocks have them doing he is also a strategic pick, going up against Idaho yearly while on the Wolf Pack.
6. Myron Lewis CB/S Vanderbilt
Eric Mangini is big on versatile players, so with our last pick he will look to a guy he feels can fill in at two positions of need and play special teams.
Biggest draft surprise: Taylor Mays' fall. Much like Rey Malaga last year this USC prospect will be seen as overated because of the defense he played for.
Biggest dissapointment: The lack of excitement around trading the #1 pick.
Unusual move: The Raiders not shocking the NFL with their picks.
Biggest potential steal: Aaron Hernandez TE Florida
Biggest potential bust: Jimmy Clausen QB Notre Dame
