Bruce Gradkowski: A Poor Man's Hero

Let Raider Nation tell it and Bruce Gradkowski is the second coming of Jesus. Or Brett Favre. Whatever. The point is that Raider fans these days, after 7 long years of torment are easily mislead and are quite foolish to place their faith in an undersized scrambling midget with a max throwing distance of 15 yards on a good day.

Its actually quite sad. Raider's fans aren't intelligent enough to deduce the fact that Bruce Gradkowski's success was solely based on weak opposing defenses, the LONG overdue return of the only receiver who can catch not named Javon Walker, and a DRAMATIC change in playcalling in favor of Gradkowski. Not to mention the unexplainable, undying support for a man who would be the waterboy for most NFL teams, (How's that for "fire" and "heart?")

Message to Raider Nation: Bruce Gradkowski is NOT Rich Gannon! I know that you were easily fooled when Tom Cable switched offenses along with QBs, opening up the four receiver sets(which got DHB his first TD) and the crossing routes which evey other team in the NFL operataes on every play except for Tom Cable's Oakland Raiders.

To quote the great Jim Plunkett on Raider radio broadcasts, which I choose to listen to over CBS' hate mongering biased television mumbo jumbo, and after Russell was assassinated against the Redskins( 8 sacks before I turned it off) "I don't understand Cable's playcalling, you gotta run a crossing route on EVERY play to give the QB an outlet when the pocket collapses!"

Thank you Plunkett! I couldn't have said it better myself. The O-line sucks. We know that. The only advantage Gradkowski has over Russell is his scrambling ability. For years we have seen "other" QBs lambasted for being scrambling Qbs, now we are to celebrate this dwarf? Please. If thats the case, give me VIck.

People talk about Russell's lack of pocket presence, which I agree is questionable. But what about Gradkowski's? Everytime I see a big bad man, Im supposed to run? Gradkowski is not tough enough to be a starting NFL QB, hence the reason he only lasted three glorious games. In sixteen he might be deceased!

Russsell is a PURE pocket passer and always has been. That means that the pocket must be secure. And with the likes of Khalif Barnes(Jets Game), don't place your money here.
