Here's your weekly fix of picks from Pats fans' perspectives.  I'll just say that I'm appalled by the amount of bad teams we have this year.  How many teams have five wins or fewer going into this week?  Let me answer that for you—11.  Yes, 11.  Two teams have only one win so far, and two other teams have two wins.  I won't bore you with poor stats of one, two and three win teams.  You see what I mean.  Horrible.  Nonetheless, Eric Annette, C. Douglas Baker, and myself are bringing you this week's guaranteed wins. We 100 percent guarantee that these teams will win this week.  You heard it here first.  Now, on with the show.

Thursday, December 17

SF
Right off the bat, this is my upset of the week—and not just because I want the Colts to lose a game, either. What happened in week one when these two teams met? The Colts won by two points. The Jags managed to hold them to 14 points at the Colts' home.  Jags take this one thanks to a solid rushing game and after a failed comeback attempt by the Colts in the final minutes of the fourth quarter.

EA
As much as I want to pick the Jags on this one, I don't think they can pull it off. Here's hoping, though...

CDB
The Colts will walk all over the Jaguars like every other team this year.  Indianapolis.

Cowboys @ Saints

SF
This should prove to be a decent game. I don't see the Saints blowing out the Cowboys, and I don't see the Cowboys defense stifling Brees and the Saints. I'm thinking if they can get a lead early enough in the 4th quarter, and the Cowboys defense can hold it (and not have to rely on Romo to make a comeback), then the Cowboys take this one. But if the Cowboys' defense forgets to show up, the Saints will destroy them in a grand fashion. On the other hand, the Saints had better contain Miles Austin, whose been on fire the past few weeks.  Cowboys take this one, thanks to their defense.

EA
I hate the Cowboys, and I don't much like the Saints. I don't like that I have to be cheering for the Cowboys, especially in December. The Saints, unfortunately, will blow them out.

CDB
I hope Romo comes up big on the field, even though he can’t perform under pressure, so I hear.  I’m just saying, is all.  New Orleans.

SF
The Bears are out of the playoff race. They'll try to win the last three games just to improve their record. I don't think that they'll be able to beat the Ravens.  Look for a somewhat boring, low-scoring game which ends with the Ravens getting a win.

EA
Jay Cutler gets pretty turnover-happy, and the Ravens D has been hot lately. I'll easily take the Ravens in this one.

CDB
The Ravens forgot they have two other good running backs on the team other than Rice.  Flacco has been wacko.  But the Ravens should beat the Bears at home.  Baltimore.

SF
Don't knock this game. Despite the Bills' playing thus far this season, and their record, it's a divisional game, and it's usually a good game. Think back to how close their last meeting this season was. Unless the wake up call got through to the Pats loud and clear this week, the Bills stand a chance. Moss needs to wake up. Adalius Thomas needs to pull his head out of his tail end and start earning that huge paycheck (7 years, $35 million contract). If Welker has to keep carrying this offense, he's going to get killed.  Pats take this one.

EA
Now here's a team New England can beat on the road...

CDB
New England has injuries galore, Moss is said to reverted back to his Oakland days, people say Giselle has two babies to take care of, and that the baby looks like Peyton Manning. Not nice! The Patriots will still come out on top in this one.  New England.

SF
Not even going to waste my time typing here. Lions are 2-11. C'mon. Arizona takes this one with ease.

EA
Arizona could use a victory right about now. All signs point to them getting that victory this week against a sloppy Detroit squad.

CDB
Arizona shit down their leg last week. They will wipe it off against Detroit. Arizona.

Texans @ Rams

SF
Wow...looks like the Rams are jocking for a high first round draft pick with their 1-12 record.  Texans take this one late in the 3rd quarter.

EA
The only reason I'm picking the Texans at this point is because they play the Rams. No matter how favorable their matchups look, the Rams just don't win.

CDB
Without Steven Jackson being hobbled, the Rams have no prayer. Houston

SF
This might just be an interesting game.  The Dolphins aren't a shabby team, although they're not great. The Titans have been on a roll the last month or so. Want to know what will decide this game? Who is the leading rusher in the NFL right now? Chris Johnson. What team does he play for? Titans. Tennessee takes this one early in the third quarter, shutting Joey Porters' big mouth.

EA
Since they're playing at home, I think the Titans will pull out the W here versus a resurgent Dolphins team.

CDB
Go Tennessee. We need some breathing room. Chris Johnson is the real star of this team. Who cares about Vince Young? Tennessee.

SF
What a waste of teams this season. Go to the bar and get wrecked. Cleveland is 2-11. KC is 3-10. Seriously—go get wrecked. I mean sloppy drunk. Who cares who wins this one? I'm going to pick the Chiefs because I'm still a fan of Matt Cassell. There. I said it.

EA
I'll take the Chiefs because of their ability to run the ball.

CDB
How a bottom dweller team with one good game against a faltering Steelers team could actually have a bandwagon is shocking to me. This is not a matchup I want to see. It’s a hard one to call. I think the Chiefs pull this one out at home. Kansas City.

SF
The Jets have won their last 3 games. Let's hope that that Falcons defense can pressure Sanchez, forcing him to make early decisions, which he usually struggles with. I'm giving this one to the Falcons, because I don't like the Jets (and that's being nice).

EA
It's a shame, but I can't confidently pick the Falcons in this one.

CDB
Atlanta just has too many injuries and problems, and even though the Jets aren’t exactly a scintillating team, their running game and defense should pull it out. New York Jets.

SF
I know that the 49ers upset the Cardinals last week, but I don't see them upsetting two teams in a row. McNabb and the Eagles will own the 49ers. Eagles take this one by halftime.

EA
The Niners will be dismantled in this game.

CDB
Eagles fans are starting to believe in McNabb. Ultimately their season will turn into misery, as it always has. But for one more week, they can still believe. Philadelphia.

SF
Sorry, but I just don't see the Raiders defeating the Broncos at home. The Raiders' defense will keep this close, but their offense will fail to produce. Broncos take this one.

EA
Should be a much needed win for Denver. Should be. Have I mentioned how good the Raiders have been at playing spoiler this year?

CDB
Charlie Frye is starting at QB. Enough said. Denver.

SF
This should be a good game. I honestly could care less who wins this one, as I don't care for either team; so I won't even pick a winner. Ok, so I will. I think that the Chargers will win this one.

EA
The Bolts are hot, and I mean HOT. The rest of the NFL should keep their distance to avoid being burned. Cincy is going to get burned.

CDB
I can’t stand the whiny Chargers. I hope they lose. I want them to lose. I want the Bengals to shut up Philip Rivers. But the Chargers are on a roll and they are at home. I thought last week the Bengals would make a game of it. Maybe they will this week—they should, but they lose a close one.  San Diego.

Packers @ Steelers

SF
I've got nothing against the Packers. I hate the Steelers. Go Pack!  Without Palomalu, the Steelers aren't an elite team. Thankfully, the Browns suck so bad that the Steelers couldn't hit last place in their division if they tried. Look for the Packers to hand the Steelers their sixth straight loss. Where are all those trash talking Steelers fans now? Probably cutting out eye holes in brown paper bags.

EA
Pittsburgh sucks. Their fans may not be able to face it, but they just straight-up suck. Unlike the Patriots, their only legitimate reason behind this is that Troy P has been out. They still suck. Green Bay looks dangerous, and I'll give 'em the win in this one.

CDB
Pittsburgh is all but done, and Green Bay is playing better than they have all year long. Green Bay.

SF
Bucs are 1-12. Seahawks are 5-8. Go visit a bar near your house. Seahawks squeak this one out, just barely.

EA
I guess I'll take the Seachickens, since they're at home.

CDB
Now, who would want to watch this game? Seattle.

SF
I don't see the Panthers defeating the Vikings. It should be a decent game, but look for the Vikings to pull this one out fairly easily.

EA
Hoo boy do the Panthers stink. They really had a lot of talk to back up that hard fought win last week...oh wait...it's amusing that their defensive players think they can talk right after losing...again. They better get their stuff together, this game isn't going to be a cakewalk, and I'll take the Vikings.

CDB
Minnesota is the second best team in the league behind the Saints. Carolina isn’t. Minnesota.

Monday, December 20

SF
I'm giving this one to the Redskins, and not just because I think the Giants are stupid. The Skins nearly beat the Saints, and would've won it if it weren't for a missed field goal attempt. Look for the Skins to pull this one out for another upset of the week.

EA
Well, it would be awesome if the Redskins won, but they probably won't. Fred Davis will probably get a couple more TDs, so go pick him up in your fantasy league if he hasn't been taken yet.

CDB
Washington is playing with heart and the Giants, despite their nice play last week, are going to be upset. Enough with the Giants already. Washington.
