Can the Denver Broncos continue their surprising start against Tom Brady and the New England Patriotson Sunday? This AFC battle is the marquee matchup in week 5 of the NFL campaign. Here’s a breakdown of all 14 games:

Minnesota Vikings (-10) at St. Louis Rams

The Vikings could be in a flat spot after Monday night’s hyped matchup with the Packers. However, the win-less Rams have already been shut out twice this season and could once again be without starting quarterback Marc Bulger on Sunday. While Minnesota won’t be too fired up to play this one, the talent difference should enable the Vikings to cover the big number. (See Expert NFL Picks)

Dallas Cowboys (-8) at Kansas City Chiefs (43)

Dallas could easily be 4-0, but the Cowboys have failed to deliver in the clutch in a couple of defeats. Kansas City managed to score a couple of fourth quarter touchdowns against the Giants last week to bring a touch of hope into this matchup. The Cowboys have personnel edges to get back into the win column but the Chiefs have shown enough fight to gain a cover for the first time this season. (See Expert NFL Picks)

Washington Redskins (37.5) at Carolina Panthers (-3.5)

These two clubs are a combined 0-6-1 against the spread this season. While the Panthers are poised for a good effort, there are still plenty of questions surrounding this win-less squad. In a low scoring affair, a solid Redskins defense should enable Washington to cover in the underdog role. (See Expert NFL Picks)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Philadelphia Eagles (-12)

After getting banged up by a physical Redskins club in Washington last week, the win-less Bucs must return to the road to face a rested Eagles squad. After a bye week, Philly QB Donovan McNabb is expected to return to action after missing two games. The Eagles roll against a defense that is vulnerable to the big play. (See Expert NFL Picks)

Oakland Raiders (41) at New York Giants (-16)

While Raiders quarterback JeMarcus Russell is clearly one of the biggest disasters in the league, Oakland is facing New York at an opportune time. The Giants are unlikely to be focused to face such a weak team after three straight road games. New York is set to remain unbeaten but the Raiders bring a little more of an effort to cover the huge number. (See Expert NFL Picks)

Cleveland Browns (40) at Buffalo Bills (-6)

The win-less Browns finally came to life last week to cover against the Bengals with a balanced offensive effort. The Bills have lost by at least 20 points in each of the last two weeks after showing some promise to begin the year. With a little more hunger to gain a win, the Browns should keep this one real tight on Sunday. (See Expert NFL Picks)

Cincinnati Bengals (42) at Baltimore Ravens (-8)

It’s a showdown for first place in the AFC North between a pair of 4-1 squads. All four Bengals contests have been decided in the final moments of each game while the Ravens have been dominant at times. The Ravens move atop the division standings but the Bengals will keep it close. (See Expert NFL Picks)

Pittsburgh Steelers (10.5) at Detroit Lions (43.5)

The world champions usually get the best efforts from each opponent. This should be the case again on Sunday when last year’s worst team gets a crack at the champ’s. The Steelers have too many horses to avoid another road defeat but the inspired Lions will likely deliver a max effort at home to cover the double-digit number. (See Expert NFL Picks)

Atlanta Falcons (41) at San Francisco 49ers (-2.5)

In a battle of NFC playoff contenders, Atlanta is in a good position to rebound from a loss after a bye last week. The 49ers are one Brett Favre miracle play away from being undefeated but all three of their wins have come against mediocre foes in the NFC West. Without top runner Frank Gore, the 49ers may fail to step up against the rested Falcons. (See Expert NFL Picks)

New England Patriots (-3) at Denver Broncos (41.5)

The Pats have scored a couple of solid home wins in the last two weeks but New England’s offense was shutdown in their only road game of the year. Now, the Pats head west to face a Denver defense that is allowing less than seven points per game. The Broncos give Brady enough problems to cash in again. (See Expert NFL Picks)

Houston Texans (48) at Arizona Cardinals (-5.5)

In a game that figures to be a shootout, the Texans will be facing an angry Cardinals squad. Arizona was humbled in a week 3 matchup at home against the Colts but a bye week last Sunday should enable the Cardinals to post a solid rebound win against the inconsistent Texans. (See Expert NFL Picks)

Jacksonville Jaguars (-3) at Seattle Seahawks

The Jaguars could be a little flat after a resounding win over division rival Tennessee. Now, Jacksonville must travel across the country to face a desperate Seahawks club that has dropped three straight. In a good situational spot, the Seahawks step up at home to handle the Jaguars. (See Expert NFL Picks)

Indianapolis Colts (-3.5) at Tennessee Titans (46)

The Colts have reeled off 13 consecutive regular season wins while the Titans are 0-4 after a league best 13-3 record in 2008. However, the charged up atmosphere of a Sunday night game at home is the ideal tonic for a desperate team. The Titans could unload their frustrations on the Colts to keep their season alive. (See Expert NFL Picks)

New York Jets (-1.5) at Miami Dolphins (36.5)

With a pair of raw quarterbacks directing each squad, the defenses should be in control of this AFC East battle. Even with last week’s victory, the Dolphins are still in a must win situation on Monday. With some momentum after last week, we expect the Dolphins defense to keep Miami alive in the division race against New York. (See Expert NFL Picks)
