Jack Del Rio Fired: Jacksonville Jaguars Wise Up and Dump Underachieving Coach
The Jacksonville Jaguars have finally made a smart move for a change, as news broke today that they have fired head coach Jack Del Rio.
Currently at 3-8, the Jaguars have looked awful all season long. Del Rio has been on the hot seat for a couple of years know, but he somehow managed to stick around. He was 68-71 during his time in Jacksonville.
Defensive coordinator Mel Tucker is the likely candidate to take over as interim head coach for the remainder of the season.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
ESPN's Chris Mortensen first tweeted the breaking news on Twitter.
This is a great move for the Jaguars franchise, but only if they go out and hire a top-notch coach. The future of the AFC South is uncertain because of Peyton Manning's injury, which means the Jaguars need to act fast to get better.
Del Rio had been with the Jaguars since 2003, and during his tenure he really only had two good seasons. He went to the playoffs once in 2005 and again in 2007, posting a playoff record of 1-2.
He hadn't taken the Jaguars back to the postseason since then, which is another reason he was kicked to the curb.
When you only have three winning seasons during a nine-year coaching stint, you have every right to be fired, especially since the last winning season Del Rio had was in 2007.
The firing of Del Rio comes not long after he told reporters that rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert needs to play better under pressure, and that the team as a whole needs to improve.
There's no better way to progress as a team then to fire the man in charge and start fresh.
The Jaguars will continue to fade into oblivion this season, but another solid draft pick paired with a great new head coach that will help develop Gabbert can put Jacksonville back on the map.
That is, if they don't end up moving to Los Angeles in the near future. That's all still up in the air, but if it were to happen it could entice a coach to want to take the Jaguars' job.
