NFL Week 10 Picks: Predicting Which Teams Will Score Huge Victories
Scoring a "huge" victory doesn't always mean winning in blowout fashion. It usually refers to the importance of the win.
The following three teams will get not only huge wins, but also important wins in their respective divisions.
The Week 10 matchup between the Falcons and Saints is vital to gaining control in the NFC South for the immediate future. That said, the Saints may be 6-3, but all three losses have come on the road, one even being to the now 1-7 Rams.
As for Atlanta, well, they play better at home and arguably have the most confidence of any team in the division right now. Winners of three straight, the Falcons are hitting stride and forming a complete team.
They've significantly improved on defense, and Saints quarterback Drew Brees has thrown eight picks in his last four road games. Until New Orleans learns how to play more consistently well on the road, Atlanta takes the reins over for the time being.
Falcons over Saints
Last season the Jets took two out of three against the Pats, and they appear to have New England's number more than anyone else.
Earlier this season, New England defeated New York 30-21, but Rex Ryan's defense slowed Tom Brady down enough to give the Jets a chance. This time around, the Jets are playing with much more confidence, and the Pats' were recently exploited by the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants.
Expect New York to control the game tempo as much as possible, blitz Tom Brady relentlessly and manipulate Bill Belichick's No. 32-ranked pass defense with the play-action pass. If there's any reason as to why the Jets win this game, it's because they have the more disciplined defense in terms of responsibilities.

Pittsburgh Steelers (at Cincinnati Bengals)
Pittsburgh may have lost the AFC North to Baltimore, but with the playoffs still alive, you can bet on them being prepared for Cincinnati. The Bengals and Steelers are virtually identical defensively in regards to production, but Pittsburgh has the edge on offense.
The Steelers are more experienced and effective offensively, whereas the Bengals reliance on talented youth has fared well thus far. That said, Cincy still only ranks No. 21 in rush and pass offense, which is consistent but not impressive.
Not to mention, we arguably saw the worst of the Bengals in the road loss to Denver back in Week 2. Winners over five straight since then, the Bengals have only defeated one team with a winning record (Buffalo), while the Steelers bested the Patriots.
So although this may look like a wash, the Steelers defense has a better matchup against Cincy's offense. Because let's be honest, is a rookie quarterback paired with a rookie wide receiver really going to beat a Dick LeBeau-orchestrated Steel Curtain defense on their first try? No.
