TNA Bound for Glory: The Top 5 Matches Going into the PPV
Sunday, October 16, 2011 could be the biggest night in TNA history.
With huge matches left and right, Impact Wrestling cannot mess this night up.
If it all goes down the right way, this could be a moment that all pro wrestling fans will remember.
Many people say that Impact Wrestling has nothing on WWE, and I agree for now.
However, if they have a phenomenal pay-per-view at Bound for Glory, we could see the power balance begin to tip, especially with the massive heat turning against WWE as of late.
Now let's look at the top five matches at the PPV.
5. Samoa Joe vs. Matt Morgan vs. Crimson: Triple Threat Grudge Match
A late-minute addition to the card that was greatly appreciated.
These three have been creating a great storyline so far.
Samoa Joe is a monster who destroys everyone. The problem is he is facing the two biggest monsters, and they keep beating him. So now Joe has set up this triple-threat match to deal with both men.
The ring will contain three great and impactful talents that should give us a show.
While Crimson has been doing a good job developing in TNA, his winning streak does take away from some matches.
We will not see Crimson lose his undefeated streak here, so it is obvious who will win.
4. Mr. Anderson vs. Bully Ray: Falls Count Anywhere
This could be an extremely entertaining match up.
Mr. Anderson has always been extremely charismatic. Bully Ray has been on the roll of his career, and he is the No. 2 heel in TNA.
These guys have the chance to show off all of their skills at Bound for Glory in what should be a physical and brutal match.
They have pure charisma, and, with a falls count anywhere stipulation, these two should have an awesome match.
This should include a lot of storytelling with Immortal and Anderson, which will be cool to see.
3. Austin Aries vs. Brian Kendrick: X-Division Title
Austin Aries is just an amazing talent. There is no doubting that.
He has the swagger and charisma of a champion and has the in-ring ability of a master. This guy has it all.
On the other hand, I have always liked Kendrick. Yes, his Wizard of Odd gimmick is stupid, but there is no denying his in-ring ability.
These two will have an absolutely phenomenal match at Bound for Glory. Look for some awesome spots and amazing agility in this match.
This might be a sleeper hit.
2. AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels: I Quit Match
Now this match could end up being one that wrestling fans go back and watch for years to come.
TNA's all time greatest veterans facing off in the middle of that ring.
With an I Quit stipulation, this will be brutal and awesome. On a purely technical level, this could easily be the match of the night.
These two have also done a great job building the story of this matchup.
The only reason I don't consider this the overall match of the night is because there's one match that will likely eclipse it as the main event.
1. Kurt Angle vs. Bobby Roode: TNA World Heavyweight Championship
Kurt Angle and Bobby Roode will go out on Sunday and create a moment to remember. This entire story centers around the journey of Bobby Roode.
He has scratched and clawed his way to the top, and he will finally get the chance he deserves. With Roode's technical ability and Angle's obvious mastery, this could easily be a masterclass performance.
These men are ready to go out there and shine.
Hopefully, this will leave a lasting impression as Roode ushers in a new era in TNA.
If Angle passes the torch to Roode, TNA could witness a rebirth as it leaves behind Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and Sting while bringing in new stars in Roode, James Storm, Austin Aries, Crimson, Gunner etc.
If Robert Roode wins on Sunday, we will never forget this PPV.
Is TNA Glory-Bound on Sunday?
What will happen on Sunday? Will we see at least these five matches meet or exceed expectations?
If so, we may see TNA finally gain some real credibility. They have done a great job building up this moment.
Don't mess it up now.
