NBA Free Agents 2011: Marc Gasol and the 4 Top Restricted Free Agents
Much of the discussion following the conclusion of the Finals was about the collective future of this year's unrestricted free agents.
It's time we take a look at their counterparts, the restricted free agents.
While it's not a deep class, it's certainly a quality one with Marc Gasol being the headliner.
Let's take a look at this year's crop of restricted free agents.
Jeff Green
1 of 4Jeff Green is now on the free agent market after splitting time with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Boston Celtics last season.
A starter with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Jeff Green was dissatisfied with his role coming off the bench with the Boston Celtics.
As a starter for the Oklahoma City Thunder he averaged 15.2 points per game, but only 9.8 with the Boston Celtics.
It will be interesting to see if he re-signs with the Boston Celtics.
Aaron Afflalo
2 of 4Arron Afflalo experienced a career season in 2010, averaging 12.6 points per game, 2.4 assists per game and 3.6 rebounds per game, all career highs.
He's on the upswing of his career as he'll be entering only his fifth NBA season.
The Denver Nuggets' front office will do what it can to keep Afflalo as he is a fan favorite and a key component on both ends of the floor.
Mario Chalmers
3 of 4Despite playing in the shadow of Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh, Mario Chalmers was still a critical piece in the Miami Heat's run to the Finals.
His timely three-point shooting is crucial to the Miami Heat's success and will not be overlooked by team management.
I expect Mario Chalmers to remain in a Miami Heat uniform once the lockout is lifted.
Marc Gasol
4 of 4One of the most skilled big men in the league, Marc Gasol will be a restricted free agent once the lockout ends.
Despite Zach Randolph stealing the spotlight in the playoffs, Marc Gasol still dazzled, averaging 15 points per game along with 11.2 rebounds per game.
He's a fan favorite whom team management would love to keep in Memphis.
