With Brock Lesnar's divurticulitis coming back to sideline him for the second time in his MMA career, Carwin has been bumped up to replace Lesnar in a true No. 1 contender fight against the red hot Junior Dos Santos.

Going from Einemo to Dos Santos has catapulted Carwin back into the spotlight, which is where he belongs.

Carwin was an undefeated interim champion before suffering his only career defeat to Brock Lesnar.
