New York Jets: JT Close to Done Deal
You read that headline right. Per Jason Taylor's representatives, it seems as though the signing is no longer a matter of "if", instead just a matter of "when".
Don't expect it to be official this weekend, but by the end of next week you should see Jason Taylor holding up a green and white jersey with his name on it. He might even make up with Fireman Ed too (but I doubt it).
Mike Berardino of the Sun Sentinel reported earlier today that someone close to Taylor said "it looks like New York is the spot".

New Report on Colts-Richardson Situation

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The price for the Jets will most likely be the previously reported offer of 2 years at $3.5 million. They seem to be ironing out minor details of the contract as of now before anything is put in writing and signed.
While the effect he has for the Jets' powerhouse defense could be fairly negligible, it could also be monumental. Taylor is an electrifying pass-rusher and could definitely beat his seven sack season in 2009 on this defense.
Rex Ryan supposedly promised him a 12-15 sack season if he signed with the Jets, but as you and I both know, Rex likes to talk and sometimes doesn't know when he's gone too far. While those numbers aren't out of the question, I'd say that 10-12 is a lot more reasonable at his age.
Because of the Jets' defensive domination last year, most people didn't notice their lack of quarterback hits and sacks. While they were able to pressure opposing passers fairly well, they had a lot of trouble actually reaching them.
After Vernon Gholston didn't pan out (Yes, I have officially labeled him a bust), and with Bryan Thomas failing to provide much pressure since his one-year wonder performance in 2006, the Jets could really use Jason Taylor to bolster their pass rush and complement Calvin Pace.
This already league-best defense just keeps getting better, as they have already added Antonio Cromartie and Brodney Pool this offseason.
