Cancer And Sports: Jeff Gets His First Wind As Jets Get Theirs

WOW  just what the doctor ordered...2 unreal games back to back.  At this moment with 7 minutes to play it is Jets 17 and Chargers 7...who woulda' thunk it?  I have to blog because I owe the Jets a mea culpa - I assumed that San Diego was going to romp and it would be nap time for Jeff...not only is he awake but using his little breathing helpers and inhaling and exhaling with excitement.  Imagine a Super Bowl with the Jets and Vikings?  It is the match up nobody expected (those are Jeff's words). It remains to be seen.

Nate Kaeding just missed another 3 pointer ... He is having one of those crap in your pants moments (Bill Simmonism).   This is really more of a Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco moment for Mark Sanchez.    Almost two minute warning and we have ourselves some great football next weekend.  The Jets have not won two post season games in a row since 1982.  The son in law will be ecstatic and to think I just chuckled as he left Houston for CT saying GO Jets!  At least it is not the Giants!!! 

This game is looking like toast ...they need a quick score, on side kick and recover the ball for another touch down or at least a field goal to tie.  If it was the Iggles playing this would be nap time for me.  The cat who just kicked the challenge flag (Vincent Jackson) cost Chargers 15 yards...Just Stupid and you can't fix stupid. That LT helmet is destined to remain for sale for another season...unless, down to 1 yard line...TOUCH DOWN!  Down by a missed field goal...can they do it?  Kaeding got the extra point.  whoo hoo 

Jets recovered the on side kick and waiting for a 1st down which wil be end of game.  Michael Phelps eating Subway...and I care because????  Get back to the game.  4th and 1 and they are going for it - the Jets made it and they win!

This is great and I look forward to Peyton Manning chewing up and spitting out the Jets next weekend...but I thought San Diego would do that this weekend. Better not get too cocky.
