Streaking Jets and Rested Chargers Meet for Trip to Indianapolis

Why Watch : The Jets continued their recent strong play last week by knocking off the Bengals for the second time in as many weeks. Although Cincinnati was sloppy throughout, the Jets took advantage the entire game. Mark Sanchez did what he has to do in his first career playoff game, throwing for 182 yards and a touchdown, which went to tight end Dustin Keller.

However, the main story on offense for Gang Green was rookie running back Shonn Greene. After accumulating only 540 yards all year, Greene busted out for 135 yards and a touchdown against Cincinnati. Production like that for the rest of the playoffs could mean big things for the Jets.

New York's defense continued to show why it's the best defense in the league, allowing only 281 yards and forcing two turnovers. Darelle Revis continued to shut down opposing teams' top receivers, as he held Chad Ochocinco to two receptions and 28 yards on the day. Today, Revis will have to shut down San Diego's Vincent Jackson in order to continue his stellar year.

New York has been the hottest team as of late in the AFC and it will be interesting to see how they can fare against a team that hasn't lost since October.

The Chargers come in rested, two weeks after their second team beat the Redskins on a last-second field goal. San Diego has won 11 in a row since starting the season 2-3, and are many pundits pick to go all the way to Miami.

Relying more on the pass than in recent years, Phillip Rivers (pictured) had an outstanding year with 4,254 yards and 28 touchdowns. It also helps when he has two main targets in Vincent Jackson and Antonio Gates. Jackson ended up with 1,167 yards and nine touchdowns, while Gates gathered 1,157 yards and eight touchdowns on the season.

While relying more on the passing game got the Chargers to 13-3, it also started to show how fall LaDainian Tomlinson has fallen. The ninth-year veteran had the worst statistical year of his career, rushing for only 730 yards and 12 touchdowns. The most glaring fact was that L.T. only averaged 3.3 yards per carry, far below his career average of 4.6 yards per carry.

With the downfall of Tomlinson, the Chargers ended up with the worst rushing offense in the league, but still managed to have fourth best scoring offense in the league, with 28 points per game.

The Jets have been hot as of late, and the Chargers have been hot since October. Qualcomm Stadium is a tough to place to play during the playoffs, and the two rested teams dominated in Saturday's action. Will that trend continue or will the Jets stun the world again?
