Week 16 in the NFL football season has all of the makings to be one of the greatest of 2009.

With so many playoff hopefuls facing each other and the fact that there is still an undefeated team thus far make for such exciting action tomorrow afternoon.

At the forefront of the intrigue are the two games being played in Pennsylania. At 1:00 p.m EST, the Baltimore Ravens will visit the PIttsburgh Steelers in a crucial match-up of wild card contenders. The Ravens are 8-6 and the Steelers are 7-7, either team losing will be catastrophic to their playoff chances. It would eliminate the Steelers and the Ravens would no longer control their own destiny in Week 17.

Head East and at 4:15 p.m. EST, the Denver Broncos of the AFC West will travel to Philadelphia to face the Eagles. Denver's season was put on the ropes with their last minute loss to their rival Raiders at home last week. Disappointment in the Mile High city is at an all-time high with the collapse of the once 6-0 Broncos. They are 2-6 in their last eight games but find themselves still in control of their playoff destiny.

Philadelphia on the other hand has a shot at a first-round bye in the playoffs if the Minnesota Vikings continue to falter. They also boast a loss to the dreadful Oakland Raiders. Both teams have shown signs of weakness when it comes to running the football. With the absence of Brian Westbrook in the Eagles offense, quarterback Donovan McNabb has leaned on sophomore wide-receiver DeSean Jackson. His productivity and ability to stretch the field have turned what were little aspirations of Super Bowl contention into realistic hope in the 'City of Brotherly Love'.

Both games have multiple story lines that will be played out tomorrow. Brian Dawkins returns home to Philadelphia. He has been a Pro-Bowl caliber safety for the Broncos this season and turned around one of the worst defenses in football. Joe Flacco gets a chance to avenge the team that knocked him out of the playoffs last season. This time he will be ending the hopes of Steeler Nation.
