With six games left in the season teams are starting to separate themselves in the divisions. The Arizona Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts, Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints all have at least a three-game lead in their divisions.
This week features a number of games between teams desperate for a victory, so it figures to be another interesting week. My record for the season is 105-55.
Here is a brief summary of the playoff picture.
Life Support: Houston.
Arizona Cardinals (7-3) at Tennessee Titans (4-6) – There is a myth going around that Tennessee is still in playoff contention; they are not. When they started their season 0-6, all six losses were to AFC teams. The best they can hope to finish in conference is 6-6; which means they probably will have no tiebreakers. Tennessee still plays Arizona, San Diego and Indianapolis, teams that are a combined 34-6.
It has been a nice run to salvage a .500 record, but it is not certain they would qualify for the playoffs at 10-6 and they are going to lose a game before the end of the season. I think one of those losses come this weekend. Arizona has been playing very well as of late and is a perfect 5-0 on the road. I look for QB Kurt Warner and the passing game to put up good numbers on Tennessee and secure another win on the road. Winner: Arizona
