Draymond Green, Steve Kerr Technical Foul Mixup Clarified by Game 4 Officials
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green tallied a double-double during his team's 137-116 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers in Friday's Game 4 of the NBA Finals, but his involvement in an ejection and then non-ejection stood out.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was assessed a technical foul in the first half, but the broadcast and crowd thought it was given to Green. When Green was then given a technical foul in the second half, nearly everyone in Quicken Loans Arena thought it was his second, warranting an ejection.
NBA Official released the official's comments to pool reporter Brian Mahoney of the Associated Press clarifying the situation:

Even Green thought he was ejected at the time and motioned to the hostile crowd in a mocking way as he was jeered.
"When the technical foul was called on Draymond Green, we reported it to the table," official Mike Callahan said. "The table informed us that it was his second technical foul and ejected. We informed the table that it was not his second technical foul."
Callahan said he didn't find out there was a misunderstanding about the first technical foul being on Kerr and not Green until Green picked up the technical in the second half, and official John Goble admitted he should have done a better job clarifying the first one.
The first-half box score distributed to the press revealed Green picked up the initial technical, per Sam Amick of USA Today:
The technicals from Green and Kerr were part of an emotional contest, as LeBron James and Kevin Durant also drew technicals for jawing at each other. What's more, Zaza Pachulia threw a punch at Iman Shumpert, Kevin Love committed a flagrant foul, and a fan was even ejected.
