Stephen Curry Ruled out vs. Pelicans with Knee Injury
Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry will miss Saturday night's game against the New Orleans Pelicans with a left knee contusion, the team announced.
A year after he secured unanimous MVP honors, Curry has largely been healthy for the two-time defending Western Conference champions.
To date, he's appeared in 77 of 79 regular-season games and operated as one-third of the league's most electric superstar triumvirate alongside Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson.

All told, Curry is averaging 25.3 points and 6.6 assists per game while shooting 46.8 percent from the field and 40.8 percent from three.
Those numbers can't be replicated by backup options like Shaun Livingston, Ian Clark or Patrick McCaw, but the Warriors don't need to fret as much about how they'll replace Curry's production if his length of absence lands on the shorter end of the spectrum.
Instead, head coach Steve Kerr will lean on Durant and Thompson to shoulder the scoring load alongside Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala. The team also announced Durant will play after he missed 19 games with a left leg injury, which should help offset Curry's absence.
