Gilmore Active vs. Rams

The Bills announced Gilmore is available to play in Week 5 against the Los Angeles Rams.
Gilmore's Presence Will Give Bills Top-End Corner
The former South Carolina standout is Buffalo's No. 1 corner, and he has produced to the tune of 15 tackles, five passes defended and two interceptions through four games so far this season.
Gilmore struggled to stay healthy over the previous three seasons. Between 2013 and 2015, he missed a total of 11 games.
A fractured wrist kept the 26-year-old off the field in 2013, and the combination of hip surgery and a groin injury limited his playing time in 2014. His 2015 campaign ended prematurely when the Bills placed him on the injured reserve list in December after he suffered a torn labrum.
When he's at 100 percent, Gilmore is one of the NFL's most underrated cornerbacks, which makes his injury issues all the more frustrating for Buffalo. Before the start of the 2016 season, Pro Football Focus' Ben Stockwell ranked the Bills cornerbacks as the fifth-best collective unit in the league.
This could be a pivotal year for Bills head coach Rex Ryan and general manager Doug Whaley. The Buffalo News' Vic Carucci reported in January team owner Terry Pegula plans on giving the two one more year to make the playoffs or they'd be out of a job.
Buffalo is coming off an impressive shutout victory over the New England Patriots on the road, and repeating that feat against L.A. will be easier with Gilmore on the field.
