Claiborne Out for Week 17

David Helman of DallasCowboys.com announced that Claiborne was inactive against the Washington Redskins.
Claiborne Can't Shake Injury Bug
This is the third straight game Claiborne is missing because of the injury and the fifth game he'll be sitting out this season.
Selected sixth overall in 2012, Claiborne's NFL career has been a disappointment. He's yet to play 16 games in a season, has struggled mightily in coverage at times and has never had a multi-interception campaign.
He ranks third among Cowboys cornerbacks with 37 total tackles to go with five pass deflections. But the Cowboys' depth issues make it too hard to bench him, as they've been without Orlando Scandrick all season because of a knee injury.
Claiborne had run into issues with the hamstring before in Week 10 that sidelined him for two games, forcing Dallas to dig deep into its recesses.
As it stands, it's hard to do much worse than Claiborne has in 2015. Then again, given the coaching staff's insistence on keeping him in the lineup, it's probably not much of an endorsement for his backups.
