According to The Associated Press, Armstrong reached a plea deal with prosecutors and had to pay a small fine:
"The cyclist entered his plea by mail on Friday under a plea agreement with prosecutors, closing the case and avoiding a court appearance.
Armstrong's girlfriend, Anna Hansen, originally told police she was behind the wheel in the Dec. 28 accident in icy conditions but later confessed that she lied to avoid media attention.
Court records show Armstrong paid $238.50 to cover court fees and a $150 fine.
"
Armstrong has had a tumultuous run since his professional cycling career came to an end in 2011. Aside from this traffic accident, the 43-year-old was recently ordered to pay a $10 million fine for committing perjury in 2005, according to Brent Schrotenboer of USA Today.
He also made headlines last month when he talked about his doping history and admitted he would "probably do it again," per ESPN.com.
