Now, take this for what you will, but it seems that TNA may have landed what's being called a "big free agent."
It should be noted, there really aren't any huge available names that are out there that would change TNA's landscape. However, there is also a chance that there is an impending WWE free agent that feels he/she will be better served working for TNA.
Nonetheless, Carter seems very excited about this news and took to Twitter to inform the fans.

Just off the top of my head, John Morrison is really the only person that I can think of that would potentially give the company a "wow" moment. Other than that, the free-agent landscape is pretty thin in terms of big names.
Yes, RVD is out there, but he's already done the TNA thing and is currently not big enough of a name to tease. Another name that comes to mind is Matt Hardy, but much like RVD, he's been there and done that.
To me, it doesn't seem like there are many choices in terms of solid free agents that can move the needle for TNA. However, I do think that if a guy like Christian returned, it would make for some compelling TV. Ultimately, the person in question needs to be a big name that can give the company some legitimacy and, most importantly, quality matches.
In the end, Carter has been notorious for embellishing her tweets in order to generate some buzz. Don't get me wrong, Carter is a great promoter and can tease the hell out of her company. Unfortunately, if history has shown us anything, it's that these teases usually fall flat in terms of payoff.
Let's just hope things will be different this time and TNA delivers on its "summer adventure."
