There is an insane amount of shoes available on NBA 2K13, and 2K has done a good job keeping pace with shoe releases. The roster updates haven’t exactly been as frequent.
There were a few changes made this week, but not as many as some gamers would have liked to see. Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis have been removed from the injured list, but their ratings didn’t change.
One glaring omission on the roster side is the New York Knicks’ James White. It isn’t as if White plays a ton; he’s playing only 5.7 minutes per game and averaging only 1.8 points per game.
Fans still have White’s jaw-dropping leaping ability in mind, and it would be great to see him in the game—even if it is only for a few dunks. Beyond the prospects of throwing it down with White, many fans want ultimate authenticity.
If the game is missing parts of the up-to-date roster, it is going to stick out.
Part of this is a product of the continued excellence the game has represented. In many ways, 2K has its fanbase spoiled. We’ll have the next update to see if the soon-to-return Ricky Rubio is included in the active roster—oh yeah and White, too.
