Tony Stewart's Satirical 'Stewie Awards' Highlight NASCAR Moments in 2012
There was a somewhat irreverent awards ceremony in Las Vegas during Champions Week when Tony Stewart hosted his sixth annual Stewie Awards from the Cabo Wabo Cantina at the Miracle Mile Shops on the Las Vegas Strip Thursday.
Fans had an opportunity to vote for their choice of several events listed under a number of categories. The "Golden Stewie" is awarded to the recipient by Stewart and co-host Matt Yocum.
The three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup champion and Yocum exchanged rapid-fire verbal banter that elicited laughter from the fans in attendance along with a variety of surprise guest drivers.
The event was broadcast live on Sirius XM Satellite radio. Sirius XM is NASCAR's official partner for the top-three series of NASCAR broadcasting over channel 90 all day, every day.
