Tom Reed of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reported on Monday evening that Cleveland Browns linebacker Scott Fujita's neck injury, which has kept him off the field for the past week, may in fact be career-threatening.

Though Fujita and his agent declined to comment, sources confirmed to the Plain Dealer the news that ESPNs Chris Mortenson broke earlier in the day. Until this point, Fujita was thought to simply have a routine neck and shoulder injury. The extent or nature of his actual injury is unknown, but if this report is true, it's a devastating way for Fujita's career to have to end.
