According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the wideout isn’t expected to see the field for the ‘Skins Week 3 contest against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Garcon hasn’t played since the first quarter of Washington’s season-opener against the New Orleans Saints. He totaled up four receptions for 109 yards and a touchdown in just a few minutes of action, with most of his stats coming from an 88-yard TD pass from Robert Griffin III.
However, the former Indianapolis Colts standout tweaked his right foot on that play and hasn’t been able to suit up for a meaningful game since.
The 26-year-old wideout came over to the Redskins in the offseason as a key free-agency acquisition. The franchise offered him a five-year, $42.5 million deal—with approximately $20 million guaranteed.
He’s supposed to be the No. 1 receiver in the Redskins' new RGIII-led offense, but his health simply hasn’t allowed for that yet this season.
In the limited amount of time that Garcon was actually lining up with the rookie signal-caller, the offense looked special. It’s unknown when the WR will be able to return to action at this time.
Aldrick Robinson, a second-year player out of Southern Methodist, should once again get the start in Garcon’s place. The backup hauled in two receptions for 40 yards in Week 2 against the Rams in his first career start.
When do you think Garcon will return?
The replacement receiver was much better in Week 1, catching four balls for 52 yards and a TD.
For fantasy purposes, all Garcon owners must sit their prized player. If you have Robinson, he’s got a solid matchup against the weak Bengals defense. Otherwise, hit the waivers for a last-second pickup and hope for the best today.
We’ll keep you updated with the latest on Pierre Garcon’s right foot injury and when he can possibly return to action right here on B/R.
