Report: Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch Arrested for DUI

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was arrested Saturday night under the suspicion of driving under the influence according to the California Highway Patrol, via the San Francisco Chronicle.

According to the report, Lynch was stopped in East Oakland and then was taken to Santa Rita Jail in Dublin, as he was charged with driving under the influence and having a blood-alcohol level of more than 0.08 percent, which is the legal limit. 

Lynch was released on his own recognizance and is pending an appearance in court. 

The 26-year-old is from the Oakland area, as he was in town this past week to award a scholarship to a high school graduate along with San Francisco 49ers quarterback Josh Johnson. 

With the 2012 NFL offseason going down as an offseason to be remembered by DUIs and legal troubles, we'll just have to wait and see how the NFL chooses to discipline Lynch, if they choose to do so. 

With Lynch's career appearing to be back on track after his troubles with the Buffalo Bills, the two-time Pro Bowler and the Seattle Seahawks can only hope that this incident will not turn his career back around in the wrong direction.
