Colts Release Kenny Moore

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Q:
A: If the Colts go linebacker with the second pick of the second round, it will tell us a lot about their intentions in building this team. McClellin is absolutely the right kind of linebacker to fit the scheme and selecting him could signal that they are ready to move on from Dwight Freeney before the season begins.
With all the receiving talent available, that's where the Colts SHOULD be looking, but linebacker is entirely possible.
Q:
A: That's a really good question. I can't read his mind, but he can't be happy with how little interest the Texans showed in re-signing him. Williams was always leery of the scheme change represented by Wade, and he had probably told the Texans that when it happened. He was headed for his walk-year and the Texans brass assured him they'd be fair with him. However, when the time came, they declined to pursue him, and he's angry.
Considering what he signed for, that's insanely petty, but hey, not everyone is a well-adjusted person.
Q:
A: I can't see Nevis thriving as an end in a 3-4. They usually have to be be a little bigger to hold the point of attack. Moala is more of a 3-4 end. He's a good 30 lbs. heavier than Nevis.
Nevis is a classic tackle for the system the Colts used to run and I see no use for him in the 3-4. If they can trade him, they should. If they can't, I doubt we'll see much productivity from him moving forward.
Q:
A: Another million-dollar question. They would be foolish not to. Chuck Pagano does not strike me as the kind of guy who would be all that keen to give up control to the quarterback, but quarterbacks have a funny way of getting what they want.
If it does happen, it wouldn't be right away. Let's put it like this, though: Peyton Manning got what he wanted in Indianapolis by winning games and playing great football. If Andrew Luck starts winning games and playing great football, he'll ultimately get what he wants too. That's the way the league works. You can change coaches a lot more easily than you can draft a quarterback first overall.
Q:
A: That's not really how drafts work. If the Colts address one whole side of the ball this year, that's a bad sign. They have needs all over the place and should be taking the top players on their board rather than pursuing an angle of building up one side.
If you HAVE to build one side of the ball first, you build the offense. The offense will take some time to develop and percolate, and you want to get Luck as much time as possible with new receivers.
Having said that, I don't think we see the Colts focus on one side or the other this draft.
Q:
A: I'm going to limit this to my five favorite shows still on the air:
1. Justified—Nothing else on TV is close.
2. Community—Amazing in every way.
3. Homeland—I miss it already
4. Grimm—If it wasn't on NBC, I'd really love it. Great new show. I keep expecting network TV to kill it.
5. Falling Skies/Alphas—Both are coming back this summer. I loved Falling Skies, but HATED the final five minutes of the first season. Almost ruined the whole show for me.
I probably should put Top Shot on this list, but I'm ashamed.
