Following the Miami Marlins' signing of Jose Reyes, there were a number of questions about what the team would do with current shortstop Hanley Ramirez. There were rumors that Ramirez asked for a trade, but there were also reports that it is not true.

At the moment, the Marlins say they are going to change Ramirez's position, but he could also be dealt. Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports believes that the Marlins could get a good haul for Ramirez.

Should the Marlins decide to deal Ramirez, they should be able to get a star in return for him.

Kevin Youkilis

Hanley Ramirez began his career in the Boston Red Sox system, and he could find his way back to the Red Sox. Ramirez was dealt to the Marlins in the Josh Beckett deal.

Now, there is talk that the Red Sox could trade for Ramirez. The Red Sox could stand to add a star shortstop, and Ramirez could fill that position for them. Miami needs a third baseman and Kevin Youkilis could be sent to the Marlins. In addition to Youkilis, the Marlins would likely receive a pitcher in return.

The Detroit Tigers could use an upgrade on their infield. Hanley Ramirez would be a huge addition for the Tigers. They could then shift Jhonny Peralta over to third base to solve their problems there.

Detroit would need to put together a fairly large package for Ramirez. It would likely be centered around star pitching prospect Jacob Turner and young outfielder Austin Jackson. There are more players that would need to be included in the deal, but Ken Rosenthal thinks that Detroit is a good fit for Ramirez.

Howie Kendrick

The Los Angeles Angels have already made not one, but two big splashes this offseason by signing Albert Pujols and C.J. Wilson. They could make another big move by bringing in Hanley Ramirez.

It seems as if the two teams have a difficult time matching up, but there are certainly deals that can be made. Howie Kendrick could help solve the Marlins problem at second base and Erick Aybar could then shift to second base for the Angels. Miami would also get a few prospects from the Angels if such a deal were to occur.

Los Angeles would have a very scary lineup if they were able to add Ramirez.

The Washington Nationals would likely need to may a premium for Hanley Ramirez because they play in the same division as the Miami Marlins. Adding Ramirez would be fairly costly, but it would be worthwhile for Washington.

Acquiring Ramirez would allow the Nationals to build an incredibly strong core. A team with Ryan Zimmerman, Hanley Ramirez, Bryce Harper and Stephen Strasburg would be one that would be competitive for years.

Brandon Belt

The San Francisco Giants issues at shortstop are well known. They are searching for someone who can hold down the position for the near future.

Hanley Ramirez is the perfect solution for the punch-less Giants' lineup. Ramirez would cost the Giants Brandon Belt as well as a pitcher that is ready to contribute right now. Belt could play in the outfield for the Marlins.

Michael Pineda

It should not come as a surprise that the Seattle Mariners are looking for a big bat. They are currently pursuing Prince Fielder and they could go after Hanley Ramirez.

According to Ken Rosenthal, the Mariners would need to deal one of their young starters to get Ramirez. It might not be likely, but there is a chance that the Marlins could get young ace Michael Pineda in return for Ramirez.

Domonic Brown and Vance Worley

At the moment, the Philadelphia Phillies are without a starting shortstop as they look to either re-sign Jimmy Rollins or sign his replacement. Hanley Ramirez would be a great fit for the Phillies.

As with the Nationals, the Phillies would need to pay a premium for Ramirez since they are in the same division as the Marlins. An offer centered around Domonic Brown and Vance Worley could entice the Marlins.

James Shields

There is a chance that Hanley Ramirez could remain in the state of Florida while being dealt. The Tampa Bay Rays could make a play for Ramirez.

It would make sense for both teams to make a deal that was centered around Ramirez and starter James Shields. Each team would improve their roster by making this trade.
