Ndamukong Suh: Embattled Lion Reportedly Lied to Portland Police After Accident

I think it’s safe to say the past month will not go down as the most memorable time in Ndamukong Suh’s life.

Turns out there is more to Suh’s suspicious one car crash than what was previously reported according to KGW Channel 8 in Portland. The explosive defensive end told police he was trying to pass a taxi and lost control of the vehicle and crashed his 1970 Chevrolet Coupe into a tree. The two passengers have talked to the media and paint a very different picture than the one Suh did:

When the light turned green, he floored it. I just remember going so fast and it was violent and just getting thrown around like rag dolls. 

"

The two passengers didn’t want to release their names due to privacy reasons.

One of the females ended up going to a hospital to get stitches for a busted upper lip in addition to the black eye and the cut above her eyebrow. Suh was adamant in his 911 call that everybody was ok and an ambulance wasn’t necessary. The women believe that’s because he didn’t want any more publicity to be attracted to the scene.

It sounds like Suh put his image and reputation as a public figure ahead of the safety of the very same passengers he put into danger. It’s another ugly story that makes you wonder what’s going through the head of the 24-year-old.

The Detroit Lions star is currently serving a two game suspension for stomping on a player, and was less than apologetic about it. Some wonder if he needs anger management classes…I think he needs to simply grow up.

He is currently one of the endorsement kings for the new wave of  stars in the NFL and everyone has been bowing down to Suh and his Lions after they started the season 5-0. As soon as adversity struck, Suh has been displaying a severe lack of maturity that needs to change ASAP. He needs to sit back and think about how quickly all of the fame and fortune can be taken away from him.

Lying to the cops may end up getting him arrested, but he is already guilty in the eye of public opinion. Suh Is a dirty player that has put himself in front of all of his teammates on the Lions and the injured women that he was trying to impress.

Maybe it’s time to start thinking about others first. Oh, and your football team is now 7-5.
