WWE: Is Bret Hart Versus Shawn Michaels the Greatest Feud of All Time?
Tomorrow is the big night!
Survivor Series celebrates its 25th anniversary and to honor that moment, we will witness The Rock return to the ring after more than seven long years and team up with the holder of all super powers in the universe, John Cena.
This powerful duo faces the Awesome Truth a.k.a R-Truth and The Miz who, funny as it turns out, is a true nemesis of the chain gang leader. These two have headlined the last WrestleMania and the Awesome One left the arena still holding the prestigious WWE championship.

Whether it be The Rock vs. John Cena or The Miz vs. John Cena, the WWE has always thrived on intense rivalries, and some went beyond business and got personal.
Case and point: the long war between legends Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels.
Both have accomplished everything there was to do in this business and then some. They have won countless championships, won the hearts of millions and have been immortalized by entering the Hall of Fame in their respective years.
They started out as friends and grew into the WWE mold together during the '80s and early '90s...but somehow, someway, a rift was formed and the cancer grew.
Call it difference of background or values, it doesn't matter. Like many events in our own lives, they didn't take the time to sit down and talk, or maybe they did and it served no purpose but by their actions, the world of pro-wrestling changed forever on that faithful night of November 9th, 1997.
Montreal...the Survivor Series and the WWE championship.
They both have come a long way since then. Putting all that to rest and burying the hatchet after so much pain and heartache is a feat only the greatest of humans can achieve. Saying theirs was the greatest feud of all time is not an easy task to back up, yet when you think about it, no other had this much passion, this much fire.
Bret Hart was a craft master, the excellence of execution, the best technical wrestler in the world.
Shawn Michaels was a craft master, the heartbreak kid, the show stopper.
Each had the attributes and merit to claim he was the one and the only but like in many places and sports, there can be only one. Though they did not try to cut each other's heads off to acquire power, they attempted to drive one another out of the company.
The feud was so intense it even spilled over into real life and at one point cause marital problems for the Hitman as HBK hinted he was having "Sunny" days. Ouch!
The Montreal Screwjob is the most controversial moment in sports-entertainment history. Now and forever. It was a conspiracy, it changed the way we watched wrestling and will never be erased in our minds.
Bret vs. Shawn is the greatest feud for that reason but also because there was forgiveness. It has come full circle and they have let it go and can look into each other's eyes with respect and admiration.
That puts them in a class of their own.
I am so proud to have been and always be a fan of the Hitman. He really is the best there is, was and ever will be.
As for Shawn...I liked him, hated him, despised him and learned to love him. I guess I too came full circle because I got to enjoy his last years and now feel like we are missing something that can never be replaced.
Bret and HBK...two sides of a shiny gold coin...priceless icons.
